Clementi Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe Food Review

Xin Wang Hong Kong Café | 新旺香港茶餐厅 opened a new branch in April 2015 in Clementi neighbourhood. I went to eat there with a friend on a weekday after work at around 8 pm.

There were not many people in the restaurant possibly because not many people knew that Xin Wang had just opened a new restaurant there. The place did not seem to bring much crowd too. Most of the crowd were at Clementi Mall beside Clementi MRT station.

I loved the ambience in the new Xin Wang Clementi Branch. It was quiet and conducive to having a conversation with my friend. It was not easy to find a restaurant with not many people in Singapore. The interior looked much nicer than my photo.

Clementi Xin Wang Cafe Chicken Chop with Cream Spaghetti

I ordered Chicken Chop with Cream Spaghetti ($ 11.90). I was very pleased with the Chicken Chop with Cream Spaghetti because the cream sauce of the spaghetti was delicious and the portion was not enough for me. It was delicious.

Clementi Xin Wang Cafe Chicken Cutlet with Curry Ramen

My friend ordered a Chicken Cutlet with Curry Ramen ($ 11.90) and a Honey Lemon drink ($ 4.90). I tried my friend’s Curry Ramen sauce. We loved the sauce as it was tasty. My friend who had fussy taste buds agreed with me for once. I think the honey lemon drink was a bit overpriced as compared to other restaurants.

Clementi Xin Wang Cafe Chinese Pork Rib Soup

I get a Chinese Pork Rib Soup and a dessert after topping up another $ 7.90. Even the taste of the Chinese soup was heavenly for such a price! At least I did not feel like drinking water as many of these soups nowadays had too much water added in it to produce more quantity to sell and compromise the quality of a good soup.

The friendly waitress who served us gave excellent service and was always full of smiles. Another waiter who served us did not react too well when we asked him some questions.

I walked out of the restaurant forgetting about the dessert which I had not consumed. I returned to the restaurant and brought the jelly longan dessert home and ate them the next morning.

I liked the dessert because the jelly was firm and not overly sweet. Some desserts were just too sweet and tasted disgusting for me. Coupled with the sweet longan, I enjoyed my morning breakfast with just that.

I had a good review of the food, service and ambience over there. I would go back again to try out their other delights.
